I got new room!

Since my not so friendly room mate has been chase out from the room by the hostel manager, because she threaten to kill me, I used to leave alone waiting for a new room mate to come in. Until one day the manager offered me on a new single room and I accepted it. I have less than 2 days to move, clearing up new room, put new floor mat and arranging those old heavy furniture, all by myself. I turned out to be super lethargic, fever, headache, diarrhea and vomiting (classical symptoms if I were to have a fever). As I vomit each time I eat, so I decided not to take orally and it has been more than 36 hours I did not eat anything accept plain water and juices. :'(
(p/s: It will be lovely if I could have somebody to help me clearing up my room, it's only 75% done.)

My old room on the 1st floor :D

My new room. It's on 2nd floor!

HTAA MAKSUKES Annual Dinner 2011 @ the Zenith Hotel, Kuantan

The venue was actually dated on the 21st January 2011 ago. I seem too busy and now it's the only time I have to update my blog. I was running out of time on that day because I went back from the ward at almost 6pm, and quickly find a pair of heels. That's why I only have 30 minutes for make up! Tak dapatlah I nak make up vogue2 gitew.. Aci tak? Tengah2 nak make up je roomate I yang tak berapa nak betul tu balik, ade ke patut dia hempas2 pintu dan almari dan tutup lampu serta merta sbb dia allergic lampu terang2.. Hell betul, VAVI! I cume tinggal lagi sepulo menet je nak touch up. Kurang ajar betul! Btw, tak nak marah2, kita mesti happy dan senyum selalu. Biar dia je tension, I rilek je.. Cool beb! Chillex!
Enjoy the pic!

Next, the make up of the night....

In flash.

At first, I would love to have a very glamorous make up but because of that stupid girl who turned the lights off, so I have difficulties doing my make up. Grrrrr!!! >;(
At last, it turned to be a very natural make up. Ok ke? On camera flash, oh, SANGAT TEBAL NYAH! Hahaha :))

Lastly, gedik time!

I really love this couch. Look at my new heels!

My first falsies!

Tu pun nak kecoh ke?
Ok, fine. Aku tau sume penah pakai fake lashes, tapi bukan aku (Kerispatih...haha)
Why I wanted so long to wear falsies?
actually I will have a HTAA Dinner tomorrow night at the new Zenith Hotel (situated in front of ECM). I heard so many guests are heading to find make up artists and rent dresses. Ok, I will never spent my money only for that 3 hours dinner. That's not worth it, unless if I have dinner with Mr Right. Hehe.
Counting the days, I prepared myself with various of make up techniques I searched trough youtube. I let my sister comments on my touch, ecece.. She replied, I look gorgeous (Oh!), but if I were put on fake lashes, I will look STUNNING!
So, that's why I went to Elianto just now to fine a pair of falsies. I choose the lighter and not so heavy dramatic look (though its good for a dinner) because it's my first time ok. FIRST TIME!
I bought this pair for only RM 12 and got the adhesive glue in it, for free.

The glue for free

And the best thing, the lashes look so natural and so light. I thought that so many people said falsies are heavy and you might have difficulties to make your eyes wide open. in addition, it's so easy to apply, once the glue become sticky. But, because of my original lashes all curled up, so I really have a bit problem to precisely put it on top of my lashes. Haha. I truly recommend this brand to all first user. Good luck!

Pahang's signature dessert - Puding Raja

I used to browse the net for interesting makan places in Kuantan for months until I found one very famous dessert in Pahang - Puding Raja (Royal Pudding). Here's the info I picked from http://myroyalpudding.blogspot.com/
Puding Raja or Royal Pudding started as a desert which was served for the Royalties of Pahang (a state in Malaysia). It began to reach its popularity in the 90s. I'm one of the third generation who're still making this unique and tasty traditional dessert. This particular pudding was a specialty from the region of Pekan, Pahang. The basic ingredients are pisang lemak manis (bananas from the area), prune, cherries and cashewnuts. Jala mas (golden threads) which were made from egg yolks were then put on top to dress it up. The sauce are usually served cold to finish.
In Kuantan, you can find the pudding in Sri Affa Steamboat & Chicken Rice, and also Sri Affa Foodcourt in Kuantan Parade. Enjoy the beautiful decoration of the dessert :)
Pretty yummy huh?!

With the chilled Custard Gravy. Yum-velous!

  • Price: 2 (RM 6 per container, bit pricey)

Unplanned dinner~

Yesterday we both went to Kemaman, unplanned.
This afternoon, I received a SMS from my sis that she wanted to go out at 6.30pm. We did not decided where to go. I just drive around Kuantan and finally stop at ECM. Again, unplanned. Yeay.
I first wanted to survey the zip lock clear plastic bag for LAG packing while on board. So, after spent my time in the Carrefour, I couldn't find the right measurement 20cm X 20cm. Or perhaps, I have to fine somewhere out there. Anyone knows where?
Then, we began to hunger like hell. My sis really wanted to go to Laksa Shack restaurant. We had our dinner there.

The Value Meal.

To Kemaman, an unplanned journey!

I received a message from my sis that she wanted to go out with me in the afternoon. After get dressed, I picked her up at her hostel nearby. When she got into the car, automatically I said, "let's go to Kemaman!"
Swear to God, I have no idea where on earth the words came from. Haha. But it actually seemed to be a great day for both of us.
We first get snacks from TC's KFC drive thru' to be eaten along the way to Kemaman, which took approximately 30-40 minutes driving. We arrived Kuala Kemaman, the place where fishermen sell their catches. There were loads of varieties of seafood, freshly displayed for sale. Hehe. Yummy!
Crabs. RM 15/kg. See the two crabs, are they mating? LOL

Lobsters. RM 60/kg.

Udang Lipan. Look like praying mantis, aren't they?

Udang Ketak. So large!

T-B: Udang Susu RM 40/kg, Udang Harimau RM 45/kg.

Large Squids. RM 30/kg.

Super Large Siakap weighs 2.5 kg. RM 18/kg.

There was a seashells shop own by a local residents, opposite the fish market. See the photos below.
Varieties of Seashells crafts.

Seahorse. RM 5/pc.

My name is Mat Ikang. Good boy cat.

The journey to Kemaman won't be nice if we don't have a chance to taste the popular Sata, Otak-otak, Keropok Lekor and Pulut Panggang. But we only ordered Sata and Keropok Lekor together with coconut drinks. So expensive. Can find cheaper in Kuantan!

Sata RM 4/10 pcs. Keropok Lekor ramping RM 2/10 pcs.
Overall ratings:
  • Service: 4
  • Environment: 3
  • Food: 3.5
  • Price: 2 (unacceptably expensive!)

We the head over Pantai Mak Nik or translated in English as D'Monica Bay. Hahahahahahahahaha. LOL. (Forgot to snap the signboard to prove). The beach was quite similar with Pantai Gelora, Kuantan, but more windy and we quite impressed with the way the waves curl. I guess this might be due to the monsoon season. In addition, the beach is also known as place where green turtles (Penyu Agar) hatch the eggs, partly in March-October. Enjoy the pics!
Really big waves. May be great for surfers.

We left Kemaman nearly the dusk and had our dinner at Sri Bagih Restaurant, Cherating. Surprisingly, there were only a few restaurants operated. Not so many choices, as compared to Kuantan and Balok.
Seri Bagih Restaurant.

Clockwise: Sea Coconut drink, Watermelon Juice, Sotong Tepung, Daging Masak Merah, Seafood Tomyam, Stir-fry Mix Vege.

  • Service: 5 (super fast!)

It has been a year since I worked here in Kuantan~

It has been a year I worked here, in HTAA, Kuantan.
I've learned a lot, theoretically and practically of course!
But so sad, I still not confirmed yet (means, never attended induction course and BTN organized by JPA)
Alhamdulillah, that slowly the Matron let me do piece by piece the U41 core task. Though not all, but slowly I guess, the day will come. Inshaallah.
Love grows more day by day in Kuantan :)

Busy lately~

I was selected by the Matron to be the committee of JKNP's National Indicator Approach (NIA) and the HTAA IPTS coordinator for KIST and Windfield nursing college.
My first challenge began on the 11 January ago when I have to draft duty rosters for both colleges on their posting. There were 19 rosters I managed to complete the task from 5pm-4am in the morning. It was very late and I started to have a headache. But unfortunately I didn't have the colored printer. Should I or Should not I bought one to ease my burdensome of printing outside and have to pay RM0.40 per sheet?
The next morning, I met the Matron and get her countersign all the rosters and pass them to the CIs. At the office, the Matron gave me support and suggestions on how to make people realize my presence. Oh, I was so touched. Later I will show off. Later~

Cheap Detoxification and the Dokoh~

I have read a lot of information on the net, books, and magazines regarding nutrition for acne treatment. As usual - no oily foods,a lot of veges and fruits and a lot of plain water... One of them suggested a detoxification program, as to cleanse the bowel and removes toxins from the body which I think it's worth a try. The main ingredients is to drink fruit juices with the pulp. Oh, I really not into fruits and juices because I find them too sweet. On of my friend introduce me Tropicana Twister juice. I've tried all three flavors - orange, apple, and blackcurrant. I preferred orange as it not as sweet as the other two. I rushed to Giant Hypermarket and bought 6 bottles of the juice. Sound greedy right? But seriously I don't have time to spend on everyday shopping for this juices.
My Tropicana Twister army!

After that, I walked to every bazaar in the market itself to look around things I might love to buy. Then I found a Dokoh, which I wanted for so long, and surprisingly, it was super cheap! I bought it for RM 50 only. Hehe.. Before this I have surveyed for the price, it was around RM 80- RM 300. Really worth buying. I am thinking of buying the gold plated one. Hehe.
A dokoh is a Malay traditional pendant necklace usually in a set of two to three pendants, or more, and worn by The Sultan/Sultanah in any traditional ceremony, as the accessories. Can be worn on Kebaya or Kurung Songket.

My Dokoh

P/s: I really hate my roomate - she acts like shit from the pigs. Haha :))))))

It's raining the whole day~

This is my first year live in Kuantan, a part of East Coast Malaysia that will experience monsoon from October to January. Unlike any parts of Kelantan and Terengganu, Kuantan was rarely flooded in this months. (but long time ago, there were many incidences because of poor drainage system, I guess...).
Almost everyday, it's raining outside 24/7, only few times I could barely see the sun glows, and the temperature was quite cold. I slept with double blanket and suffered a lot during shower time in the morning.  Not like KL where the rain drops heavily accompanied by thunderstorm.
I always get moody with my surroundings till my pimples popped out non-stop. It's ugly! and it make me depressed.
I still could not find the right entertainment for myself. My workload gains. Feel not so motivated. I need support please...
This afternoon, I attended a Mortality Review, and most of the shortfalls were from nurses. Oh, why? And hard to admit, that I'm one of them. Duhh~ My fellow lecturers would kill me if they know about this. But, THAT IS NOT ACTUALLY MY FAULT. I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO IN-CHARGED OF THE PATIENT. BECAUSE I AM NOT A "STAFF" NURSE. Luckily this case wasn't bring up to the court, if yes, I could have sued and my license barred :'(
My face now became worse. Everybody could barely see hundreds of whitehead on my skin. The pustules and papules popped out non stop. After a week using SebaMed, I noticed that the oily T-zone and chin fade away, my blackheads clearer, but some part of the skin became so dry. I have already omitted myself from eating any fast foods, snacks and junkies, fried foods, and drank a lot of clear fluid and orange juice.

The whitehead zits on my forehead and in between my eyebrows

Hundreds of whitehead, pustules, and papules. Noticed some flakes of dryness around lip area and chin

What am I supposed to do?

Ok, that's all for today. I have no mood.

Dinner with joy!

My sister and I decided to have our dinner at New Horizon Restaurant, Kuantan. At first when we took a look at the variety of menus, owh, heaven! We chose the Dinner Set A for 2, consist of 2 white fragrant rice and 4 dishes of choice! We had Fried Garoupa with Mango Salad, Omelet with Prawn Meat, White Tom Yam, and Sizzling Squids. The fish was awesome! The mango salad really bring the taste. The omelet was so-so, but I like the idea of putting prawn meat in it. Tom Yam was fulled with seafood, mushrooms, and onions! (Luckily both of us love onion LOL). But it taste so sour, that many a times we can't barely tolerate. Hehe :P The sizzling squid was really good but taste weird, because they mixed altogether chillies, lemongrass, onions, and curry leaves. (can you imagine how it tastes like?). For drinks, My sister chose Soy milk, while I preferred Sea Coconut drink..hehe :P

Heavenly served on the table

Yeay!

Warning Signs~

re-post from my Fb note...

Each new day is a gift.
Day by day, I am getting older...
growing older can be great...
getting older means getting wiser..more mature..more experiences..
It ought to be lovely to be old...

On the inside, I'm the same old me,
Just the outside's changed a bit...hehe..

one by one...my friends are getting married...with their loved ones..
I wonder how it feels like..
when a man proposed you to be the wife...
cherish his life..
having someone you really wish to live with..for the rest of your life...
how do I feel?
I'm not jealous at all but I'm glad my friends do have a man/women standing beside them..
supporting their life..
neither in pain nor success...
Gave them comfort when no one else could
Listen when no one else did

at this age,
yes, I know I am still young..
but if I would compare to those surround me,
I can't believe that I'm still single...
hehe~
but why should I bother?
hmm~
have you ever been in a circle where people at you age or even younger
all are getting married and have kids?
I do..
that's why I am so worried..
yet disappointed with myself for not having a spouse
hehe~

when people started to ask me,
"hey, why are you still not married?"
deep in my heart I replied, "I am trying hard enough, but still, could find no one..."
with me smiling (fake one! haha)..
i find the question so annoying...
I'm not mad but I'm a bit touched...
plus, they often added this statement, "RUGI TAU TAK KAHWIN LAGI..."
:'(
hey ladies with big mouth!!
my heart could break...it's just as fragile as crystals...
just as yours did!
(please put yourself in my situation, how would you feel?)
just like always,
I pulled myself away from the crowd when they started talking about their hubby, sharing experiences being a mum, having a baby...
they seemed to enjoy the conversation though I'm not..
only because I don't have one!
sometimes, I need to ask questions related to those stated above, when I need to converse..
and of course, I hate this!
but, that's only choice I have (may I ask, do I have any??)-besides the boring plain one about working stuffs...

like others did,
I do love hearing my phone beeps..
haha :))
someone says I LOVE YOU every often..
care for all things happened to you
share jokes and sulking to each other..
yes..
I am looking forward to build a family besides my career~

when I was all alone..
(not crying, but just wondering)
I always think~
for the reasons why am I still single.
why men just slipped away from me?
is it because; I'm not pretty enough?
I'm not good looking?
I don't dress like guys always dream of?
I'm not caring?
just like other girls who seems to be lovely, soft, and warm..
...or maybe I am not good enough~
If someone could tell me how shall I be...I should thanked him/her a bunch...
(a McValue meal will do, I guess..hehe)

same as guys do..
I like a man who has a tough build, (like a rugby player..hehe)
who don't smoke..
have manner on the dinner table..
love songs I loved
odorless except perfumes..
yet good looking..
and own a style...
with great career and assets..
but I know,
I am just an ordinary person,
like everybody did..
(not to be choosy, but i do care for details..)
but know, I've learnt..
don't care about all above matters..
all the physical thingy..
i've put 'em aside.. (arrghh..really hard for me to do this..hehe)
for a hope that one day,
a guy will come and bring sunshine to my life..
sharing laugh and tears...
thoughts and ideas...
make me happier than ever..
who will make my life complete.

the hardest thing I've ever done is keep believing..that there's someone in this crazy world for me...

I am tired thinking and waiting...
tired of being accused to date other girl's bf
to seduce other wife's hubby..
while I'm not..
please stop that :'(

but

It ain't impossible
for an endless love to come..
to love me for who I am..
for where I came from..
for what I've done before..
Insyaallah
I'd promise, I will Love YOU with all my heart till death do us apart~

cherish the LOVE WE HAD
we should cherish the LIFE WE LIVE

(p/s: I am not desperate, I am trying to find one..)
If you Can't Accept me at my Worst, you Don't Deserve me at my Best!
